How do I use mp3 songs as ringtones on my Sony Ericsson w350i?

I added a bunch of mp3's to my phone, as noted above, and for some reason they aren't allowed as ringtones, I can listen to them through the music player but can't use it for any caller id. It CAN be used as a message tone, but I don't want it to.

My last phone, exact same one, let me use my mp3's as ringtones. Do I need to do something to the mp3's to get them to work?
