how do i use internet sharing on my windows mobile 6 phone?

hi i got the samsung jack and i connect it to my computer than on the internet sharing options under pc connections i put usb than pressed connect and there is a message that pops up that says, failed to connect to the internet, Data coverage may be unavailible, so i check i have 4 bars and when i go to internet on my phone the internet works, how can i fix this problem so i can use my phone as a modem
