How do I use headphones with LG 42PJ350?

I have a set of Turtle Beach headphones which work with Xbox360. Ive connected evrything correctly into TV but everytime i flick xbox on the headphones dont work. The mic works but no sound what-so-ever. Is there any settings i have to change for it to work or any suggestions please
