...headunit is touching power? I have been having this problem with my car stereo's aftermarket pioneer head unit where it will not stay powered on. It comes on for literally just a second, then turns off, then turns on for a second then turns off, and keeps doing this. Sometimes it will stay powered on in standby mode, but as soon as I try to put music on, it starts doing it again. Using a volt meter, I determined that both the constant power and the switched power are receiving power, both when they are connected to the radio and when they are not. Though when they are connected to the radio, they both sort of jump up and down slightly in voltage, in sync with the powering on and off of the radio.
I was told that it could possibly be a power source touching what the radio is grounded to. How do I test this with a volt/ohm meter, without just looking at every wire in my car? I have already checked most wires, and they all look fine.
Also, someone said it could be a bad remote wire. But the remote wire also looks fine to me. How would I test this?
If you have any other thoughts to what it could be, or any troubleshooting tips, it would be much appreciated...
