Okay so I have a 3GS that I want to unlock, but the newest unlockable baseband is 5.13 on the 4.0.2 firmware (I don't want to use the new iPad baseband 6.15.00 on the iPhone to unlock). So, I know that apple stops signing firmware updates on the iPhone on any firmware other than the newest one. So how would I update from 3.x to 4.0, 4.0.1 or 4.0.2?
I am new to saving shsh blobs so would that be an answer? Or would I have to wait for sn0wbreeze or pwnagetool to come out and update to 4.2.1 while preserving the baseband..
Also heard something about 4.2.1 not working if the baseband isn't the stock 5.15.04. Is that correct?
