How do I unlock my SDHC multi-use 4.0 GB* memory card for my camera (Panasonic DMC-TZ3)?

I've switched the lock key on the side of the memory card many times both ways trying to unlock the card so i can download the pictures onto my computer, but it is not working. PLEASE HELP.

I'll give 10 points for an answer that works!
