Ok, basically I have an 80GB IPod, which needs a passcode entered to unlock. Since I don't remember the passcode, I can't unlock it that way. I read an article online outlining instructions about how to bypass the passcode requirement using a computer. When I connect the IPod to my computer, Windows attempts to install drivers but fails. I even installed ITunes, since it's supposed to install the appropriate drivers; still no luck. ITunes doesn't even begin to recognize it, or even detect that it's plugged in. What can I do to fix this issue?
