How do I turn tune my TV to a channel with a decimal point in it?

I want to be able to get a tv station that is over the air and will require an antenna. The main proble right now is how to turn the TV to channel 49.2 because that's the number I want. My TV was purchased in 2001. I looked at the manual and there is nothing that tells you how to tune to a station such as 49.2. You can set the TV to be in Antenna mode instead of cable mode, yet there is no apparent way to tune to 49.2.
How does this work?
