This is kind of ridiculously embarrassing, but I learned to drive on a new-model Nissan Altima. Now I have my own vehicle, a 1992 Ford Ranger, but I have one minor issue - I can't turn on my headlights! I tried the manual, I tried Googling it, I tried testing everything I could. At one point, I thought I got the high beams to come on (using the signal/wiper knob) but I can't get it to do it again, and I've NEVER managed to get my low beams to come on. Does anyone else have a 1992 Ford Ranger and know how the hell to operate the headlights?
P.S. I tried the weird little knob that looks sort of like a cigarette lighter but a bit bigger.. but it just pulls the plastic bit off, it doesn't turn the lights on. It's the only thing that looks vaguely like what the manual says. Is that the right piece? If so, is it broken if the plastic bit comes off when I pull it?
