How do I transfer the my duc's warranty

I just brought home my new (new to me) 2008 1098. This was a private sale (No dealer involved) How do I register and transfer the warranty to my name?

When I bought my 1098 used, I was still able to get warranty work from the dealer. They said the warranty is assigned to the VIN, not the owner. If you want, you can have them send a notice to Ducati so that you'll get recall notices in the mail.

warranty goes with bike, not owner. as long as within 2 yrs/unlimited miles.
