How do I transfer a movie file from Olympus Master to Windows Media Player?

I've gone to file and then open but i can't find the documents and settings folder that it's in...omg help...
My goal is to like put the video onto a disc, so thats why i want to transfer it to media player...is there aanother way of putting it onto a disc??
