My husband and I hired a lawyer He's very expensive and we had our first consultation last week for $250 and lasted 30 min. The things is that we needed him to come with us for a little court case, but my husband's car got towed last Monday and now we spent all the money paying for the car and the tickets. The good thing is that we found a Pro-bono lawyer and She's gonna help us. But the other lawyer still thinks he's coming with us on Monday. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm sure he won't be at his office. Can he sue us or something for telling him last minute that we don't need him? He has the copy of an original document we need for court on Monday and now we don't know what to do.
How do I tell my lawyer I don't need him anymore?
