How do I stop Windows Media Centre on Xbox going into standby?

I currently use the Windows Media Centre Extender function on my Xbox with my laptop, but whenever I do when I'm not using my laptop, after about 10 mins the screen goes black. I've changed the settings on my laptop so that it doesn't go to sleep, hibernation r standby itself, but it still keeps happening. Can anyone help?
