Ive had my bike a couple of months, but its really being eaten by rust. I live near the coast ( North Sea) so i know some rust is inevitable but the speed it is currently wasting away is unacceptable! Should i just sell it and get somthing less rustable, if so any ideas for a 125?

Once rust begins is it almost impossible to stop them. Rust is called the cancer of the metal, as they keep coming back - near the original spot and SPREADS.

Just about the only way is to CUT OUT the metal well beyond the rust area (cut it or grind it), then replace the metal with NEW metal. But even then there's no guarantees.

If you live near the coast, you will probably have no long term choice.

Good Luck...

Hey bro I had this problem on my sportster frame I live about 1/2 mile from the gulf. I took a air grinder and just kinda went over all of it then painted over it with rust killer then repainted the spot turned out nice. BUT! It's was only about 2inchs of rust under the seat.
