Lay a piece of foil in the lounge chair - they hate that. after a while it wont be worht sneaking into it. Buy a cat bed - put it somewhere you think the lil one would like it to be and let them know they have their own lil spot to lounge.
place a plactic carpet runner upside down on the chair. (Cut to size)The prickly things that prevent the runner from sliding on the carpet will irritate and be uncomfortable for you cat's paws. Place them where ever your cat shouldnt be. Good luck.
cover it with garlic powder or else u can put something on the chair so she can't get on it, like a box or something. otherwise forget it. a cat will do what a cat wants to do and there isn't much u can do about it so learn to live with it.
i suggest you buy a blanket to spread out on it for when your gone so you can just clean the blanket instead of trying to clean the chair. it works alot for both my house and some of my relative's houses and our pets
You can't. She has staked this chair as her territory. Best thing to do is get a nice, soft fleece blanket and keep the blanket covering the chair when you aren't in it. Keeps the chair clean and picks up quickly. I've tried stacking throw pillows in my husband's, and my katz just push them off. They like the blanket though. (You could always get another chair for the humans.)
you should make her her own room, any room you want! and when she is out of her room i think it will be OK just put some
plastic where she sits if you are worried about the hair or her scratching up the chair.
I go with Rox and casinodog. She probably goes there because it has your smell on it and she would like to be sleeping near you. I have a number of inexpensive cotton quilts which I can spread out over couches and chairs. When they look a little less than clean I can just run them through the washing machine.
You can always pick them up and put away when "company" comes. I am light years away from caring about impressing people so mine just stay there.
