how do i stop my 1 month 3 week old lab puppy to stop whining?

my lab keeps whining when no one is in the room with him and he whines a lot at night. he was separated from his mother like 3 days ago and i got him yesterday but he keeps whining and i have to leave for school in the morning and he will keep whining.

dont give in and go pet him and comfort him. totaly ignore him. after a few minuets when he stops completely, give him a rub. this will take a little bit, but its the way we stopped my dog.

again, do not give in, no matter what! i had fallen into that trap and it took me longer to get her to stop whining!

He or she is still a very young puppy and needs all your time and attention you can offer.

I suggest putting a stuffed animal in his crate at night, along with a clock. The stuffed animal will make him feel like he is not alone and the clock will be like a heartbeat(like his mothers or brothers/sisters). I know it sounds weird but it works!
 
This pup should still be with it's mother. It is illegal in many places to give away or sell a dog that is less than 8 weeks old.
