okay, i am so sick of being fats (stats= 5'9 and 142lbs) i eat pb all the time, well i am trying to give it up and i havent had it in 4 days. Like when i have it though, i will grab a baby spoon andjust eat like 1/2 or 1/4 of a jar at a time, i work out and eat healthy other than this peanut butter! i never have cake or white breads or pastries or ice cream (unless its like healthy choice ice cream bars which are only 80 calories) but i just i eat like 1000-1500 cals a day i exercise at least 3-5 times a week, plus pe but it is all sabotaged cuz of this natural peanut butter that i can eat a jar of at a time!!! one jar is like 3000 calories, each serving has 16g of fat 8g of protien and 2 g of fiber. like look at all that fat!!!! i have decided to give it up for good.... but how it is so hard?????? i love it so much......i wish they had calorie reduced pb... help me please!!!!!

Keep a bag of unsalted peanuts handy at all times and when you get the peanut butter craving nibble on the raw unsalted nuts instead.
You still get a similar taste but sooo much better for you this way.

Also ask your family to start hiding the peanut butter from you as you feel you may not be able to control yourself.

Its okay calm down :) lol but yeah its great protein but if you eat to much then it could be fattening. Just think of what you will look like in the future if you stop eating junk food and eat healthy and exercise. and maybe you wont want it anymore. or just get rid of it out of ur house so you cant eat it!

In moderation peanut butter is actually very good for you. I try to get a serving of peanut butter everyday. All of the fat in peanut butter is very good for you in moderation. Gotta love those healthy fats!

You are right, though, you shouldn't be having that much peanut butter daily. But don't give it up cold turkey. Have a tablespoon a day.

It also has a LOT of fat, sugar and calories in it, high fructose and corn syrup and none of those are good for you. You might not have to give up peanut butter entirely though. You could try the natural/organic peanut butter. It is a lot healthier for you. Try putting some on pieces of apple or something as a snack. If you are working out, you will burn the calories of organic peanut butter a lot faster too!

Good luck!

1 JAR?! HOLY CRAP!

- buy smaller jars
- get a nice substitute
- have a LITTLE, stop, then drink some lukewarm water and think about other things to distract yourself.
