My yard needs some color and I was thinking that I could plant some flowers around the tree in my yard and in the triangle area next between my deck and house. I have the areas ready but don't know what to plant. The areas do not get much sun during the day but some in the morning. I want flowers that will come back every year and that I don't have to do much with. I am thinking that seeds would be cheaper than buying flowers and planting them because I want to cover the area in flowers. I was thinking about going to home depot and buying a bag of Wildflower seeds. I looked at the roll n grow thing but it seems expensive for the area I want to cover. Any suggestions for seeds? I am hoping that I can remember to water them everyday!
right now I have mulch around my tree. I was planning on putting about three inches of soil on top of the mulch, should that be enough?
