Air contains 20% by volume of oxygen. If V cm3 of air is mixed with V cm3 of pure oxygen at the same pressure ( at 10^5 Pa),what will be the partial pressure of oxygen in the gaseous mixture?

Would be glad of you can include the workings:)
The answer is 1.2 x 10^5

The partial pressure is the pressure due to oxygen in your mixture. It seems like V (or x) cm3 of air is mixed with the same amount of pure oxygen so it ends up at 10^5 Pa? Like, the end pressure is 10^5 Pa?

Then, the partial pressure of oxygen is (20%+100%)/(2)* 10^5 Pa. This equals 6*10^4 Pa. Hope that answers your question!
