CHI-SQUARE test.? Consider an example where the students with good economic and bad economic conditions are categorized by their intelligence as excellent, good, mediocre and poor.Test if there is association between intelligence and their economic condition
Calc Chi sq = 9.72 and tabulated chi sq=7.81.
If my null hypothesis is "Intelligence and economy are independant" and my friend's Null Hypothesis ="Not independant" .Wont each one of us end up with two different conclusions since the null hypothesis gets rejected . Thats how I have understood it, correct me I m wrong
What would the right assumption for the null hypothesis be ?
Thanks,
Anjay
