How do I set the music thats put on my memory card as ringtones?SIDEKICK LX 2009?

I have a bunch of ringtones that i downloaded from a website but instead of being able to set them as ringtones, it goes straight to my music player, and I cant set songs from my music player as ringtones....??????? how do i make it into ringtones?
