How do I send a stool sample in the mail?

I have a stool sample all ready in a container, and I want to send it to a friend's house through the mail (You know, April Fools!) and I was wondering, can I just put the shipping address on the container and put it in the mail? Or do I have to go the post office and get a package to send it?
