How do I save my photos off of my LG Verizon chocolate?

I just got a new phone through an upgrade. I want to donate this phone to the thing they offer for the soldiers, but there are some pics of my dog that I lost and I want to keep them. How do I save my phone from the LG Chocolate to my computer?
