How do I rid my beta fish tank of green,brown and black ?algae?

I currently change 25% of the water, clean the filter, and scrape the sides 2x a week.., and use Betta plus bowl conditioner (to make the "water safe for Betta's"), and cycle (beneficial bacteria). I've also decreased the amount I feed my fish. It just keeps coming back! And this morning there were even fuzzy little balls all over the rocks?? Please help!
 
Get an algae cleaner. Snail looking thing that eats algae off the sides of the tank and the rocks. Betta shouldn't bother it.

Well, how long do you leave your fish light on, if you have live plants then it should only be on 10-12 hours a day. If only a betta 6-8 hours a day. Is it in direct sun light if so move immediaently. Dont liosten to that idiot Dylan, "get a new tank"...uhg that is so stupid. Anyhow, what size tank do you have? If you have 10+ then you could get ottos. If you have smaller than that you could get mystery snails, and no they dont breed like crazy. Unlike some other aquatic snails. Just keep doing your water changes and cleaning it, and just get a couple mystery snails :)

EDIT: Also dont get a pleco, unless you have at least 10 gallons. And even if you have that there are very few plecos that you could have in it. Dont go out and buy the commom pleco, they get 24in. long, and are huge wate producers!!!!!

you get one of those sucker fish or a snale i had a snale and it worked real well but i herd that sucker fish are better or should i say... betta! xD
 
What size of tank, are you vacuuming the rocks, and is the tank in direct sunlight at any time of day? If the tank is too small waste will build up quickly and feed algae. If you don't vacuume, there is waste in the bottom constantly putting out algae food. Sunlight will also feed algae. If your betta is in an unfiltered bowl try bumping it up to at least five gallons.

If you want to add critters to clean the tank, I'd suggest at least 10 gallons with a heater and filter, your betta, and 2-4 otocinclus, tiny catfish that love vegis and keep tanks nice and clean.
 
get a snail that will eat the algae, completely clean your tank, or buy stuff to put in the water that will help keep algae from forming.
