when i went to command and typed in ipconfig/release it came back with"requested operation requires elevation".how do i require elevation for my wireless ip?

u must run it as an administrator
open start and type run in the seach it will appears to u the command prompt and then right click on it and select run as administrator and try to release and renew ur ip again it will work this time.

and if it doesnt work u need to turn off the user account control
go to control panel and select users account and in then select user accounts ( first option )
then select the last option which is turn user account control on and off , press on it
and then remove the check mark from the ( use user account control (UAC) to help protect your computer.
then restart ur computer after it and then run the command prompt again with the administrator as i asked u before and try to release and renew ur ip.

contact me for any thing.
hope i helped here , have a nice day :)
