~JUST~ bought a beautiful new sports car. Within a week of owning it, a bird has done a 8 inch wide dropping from hell on the front of it. It was only on the car for a few hours but it was enough time for it to dry on solid. It wasn't under a tree or anything that birds sit on, I'm so unlucky! When I cleaned it off the shiny black paintwork is now badly matted. I've tried to get the shine back with washing and waxing but it doesn't work. It was so badly glued to the car I'm worried I stripped the paintwork when I washed it off. Any advice how to fix it and how I should have removed the bird dropping from hell. I had the roof down at the time and I wish it had crapped on the seats instead!!! I'm furious!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but....your car will...more than likely.. need paint to correct this issue..... the acid from the birds do-do has ate into your clear coat and into your paint.... I'm afraid.....go to a body shop and have someone look at this area ....if by some chance they can take care of this without repainting ,let them.........keep a good coat of wax on your beauty and next time it will be much easier to remove...but even with wax bird do-do will affect the paint in a very short time
