Drove my 98 road king Harley Davidson to mountains yesterday. Stopped to get gas and then bike was dead. No power. We jumped it off from a car. Got it started, drove it for about an hour, stopped for lunch and then again it would not start. Bought a new battery. Then the bike started but then the fuel pump not coming on and have to had bike towed over 100 miles home. Is it possible that jumping the bike off damaged some wiring causing a problem with the fuel pump? Other suggestions? Where should I start looking to fix it? Cant afford to take it to dealer.
