how do i removed shifter on a 2007 ford ranger?

have all the dust boot and plastic off. i took the nut off on the threaded bolt, the bolt is still in place, and i dont know what the next step is to remove it? or if i have to to get the shifter off ?
its a 5 speed manual, and location?
