Every time I open a new tab on my firefox or Internet explorer for viewing new mails, or even refresh my in-box page I get a pop-up saying 'You have been disconnected from chat because you have signed into Yahoo! Messenger from another computer or device'. Until I click 'Okay' I cannot open any other tab. I have read other posts on this topic and have checked that the Chat and mobile text box pull down tab is set at 'I am Disconnected' and in the Mail options page I have unchecked the box next to the option to 'enable connection related features (messages, suggestion, updates)'. I have even changed my password to make sure no one else is logging on to my account.
This is like spam to me, what is going on? I am sick and tired of clicking okay to this message every time I open my email, I do not have the yahoo messenger software installed on my computer and just want to remove everything related to chat, so that I can enjoy my yahoo mail of which I have been a satisfied customer for a long time. Can anyone who has had the same problem sorted please help me? The obvious solution is to remove the chat feature from my in-box.
