How do i remove the rear wheel brake drums from a 96' Toyota Paseo?

either they will pull off when you remove the wheels, or they have a bearing cap in the center, youll need to remove that cap then remove the cotter pin and crown nut or the 2 jam nuts.then pull out lightly and dont drop the bearings.if its drum brake, sometimes you have to back off the adjustment through the slot in the backing plate.good luck.use new grease packed in the bearings and a new seal would ya,and replace the cotter pin.

Make sure the car is jacked up securely, and put it into gear, then let off the hand brake, so the rear wheels spin freely. You may need to undo the large nut in the centre of the hub to release the drum. Try to ease it off equally, and if you need to tap it to loosen, remember they are cast iron so do not hit them too hard. Good luck.
