I want to remove the latch that secures the cover of the rear compartment on a Jeep Wrangler JK. Basically, I want to remove this latch to so I can install a u shaped bolt that I can bolt in place and then secure using a padlock.
The question is... HOW do I remove this latch? I have managed to remove the actual loop and spring assembly, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the base.
