how do i remove the factory radio from a 1989 ford ranger?

i have the 'u' shaped tools, ive stuck them in and tried to pull it out but its not working.
it looks like the dash bezel is blocking the radio, but i have no idea how or if i need to remove it

well, sometimes you need to jiggle the keys around harshly or push them in out, side to side to get them to come out. It can be stubborn sometimes.
