edit, I found that a simple paper clip, straightened out, works great. Pull the thing straight, and use pliers to hook one end. If you wrap the rest around your finger, and use the hooked end to pull on those little clips, it's real easy.
i cant do it.. i dont know what to put in to get that lens cover off.. someone said paper clip well its not strong it just bends back out when i pull on it. screw drive seems to chip the stuff of. so any help?
Wow thanks that does make it look easy. Just wondering since many of the links are old and no longer working does anyone have any new ones for some good store on ebay or other places. I did look at junctionwireless and they have cases but they are only $8 with shipping that sounds so cheap. I just do not want to buy junk.
How do you swap over the chrome thingy over the camera lens to the new faceplate? I am afraid I will break the piece prying on it. Do any aftermarket faceplates have this piece already installed?
Thanks so much for the ultra-helpful pictures and descriptions. That final part of jiggling the cover off was easier than I expected. It's really all pretty simple, requiring a gentle yet firm touch. Thank you! I was finally able to clean the inner screen and cover of my 6682, and now I'm awaiting the arrival of a brand new silver faceplate and battery and camera cover, to replace this sort of ugly, light gold one the phone came with. Thank you, thank you!
