How Do I Remove All Color In Photoshop?

How do I remove all color in a picture in Photoshop. Turning the picture to just, black...and just white. No shades of Grey or anything, just the colors, black and white. I want to know how I can do this so I can extract the line art from illustrations that have color in them.

Bring up photo of choice then up to Image from image go down to mode and then over to grayscale once you have done that it will now be black and white. next go to Image and then adjust to brightness / contrast use them to get what you are looking for .
