How do I remove a shortcut to a contact in my phone book from the main

screen of my Samsung Galaxy? Some how I managed to create a shortcut type icon of someone in my contact book on my main screen to my Galaxy. Normally, you can tap and drag the icons to remove them from this screen but this doesn't work with the shortcut. How do I remove this from my main screen?
