HOW DO I REMOVE A CHAIN OFF A BIKE?

Alright the chain came off my beach cruiser.. and i ended up throwing it away not knowing i could of just bought a link to replace the one that broke.. n e ways i have a few mountain bikes in the back yard that don't work so i want to take that chain off of one of those and put it on my beach cruiser.. the chain on the mountain bike is much longer but cant i just take a few links off and make it fit? i would rather just do this instead of buying a new one cuz i have like NO money.. please help me and give me instructions and tools i will need.. thank you..
 
The chain wont work anyway it's a 3/32 inch used on bikes with gears and your Beach Cruiser will use 1/8 in chain like MBX and other single speed bikes. Get a new chain at Walmart and a chain breaker.
