How do I release the brake pressure on an 05 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition?

Trying to replace the brake pads and need to depress the caliper.

You "should" be able to simply press the caliper cup back in with a large C clamp using you old brake pads. against the cup without cracking the bleeder screw..
