How do I put sound into Macromedia Flash 2004?

Hello I've just finally finished animating a school project. However I don't know how to record a voice and put it into the picture nor how to put in music.

I know this isn't the most appropriate board for this topic but I'm not sure where to put this.

Anyway could someone please help me I'd be very grateful.:D

File, then Import to Library, then choose the sound file you want. Select the frame you want the file to start playing at, and either drag the file from the library to the stage or select it on the bottom panel.

Mind you, to be on the safe side, there are times when you import a sound and it looses its quality in Flash To fix this, just in case it happens:

Go to Window > Library, right click on the Sound File > Properties, then find the Compression tab and MP3, click Bit Rate and select the highest number/s. Click Test to make sure it's crystal clear, then OK.

Best to keep that handy, I reckon, if your sound file does go weird.

I think the more pressing question is, why the purple monkey are you still using Macromedia Flash 2004? Get Adobe Flash CS4. It features Inverse Kinematics (i.e. bone hierarchy), which should make character animation a million times easier.
