How do I play/attach an MP3 (or even iPod???) to my Panasonic SA-AK630 hi-fi system?

I have an old Panasonic SA-AK630 bi-amp sound system which I bought early last decade (god knows exactly when). It has mainly gathered dust and followed my various homes around. Its good, still works but I have never worked out how to play music from an MP3 - as it claims in big letters it can do.
I don't have the manual and am very much a techna-phobe
Step by step instructions are good for my meagre mind.

Please help
