how do i photoshop my Bmx bike a Different color?

i want to photoshop my white bmx bike a few different colors how do i do this? i want to paint my bike sooner or later help!
hue/sat seams to change everything but the bike.. lol
 
Juan is correct. You need to 'select' the frame. Then you can use a slider (hue and saturation) to try all kinds of colors.
You could learn masking too and layers.
