how do I over ride the speed controlled volume on my chevy cobolt stero? tried auto

volume off does not work ? I am unable to over ride the speed controlled volume setting on my chevy cobalt 2008 stero. the radio is fine there is nothing wrong with it but I am unable toadjust the volume manually. I have tried the menu setting,auto volume off but still when I turn the volume dial myself it will not work..is there anyway to over ride the control so that I can turn up the volume myself? unless I'm going 60 mph I cannot hear my radio or cds
 
sounds like a bad ground... theres no such thing as speed controlled volume... its simply more dangerous to mess with your raido at higher speeds. Check your wires/grounds for loose connections that should fix your problem.
