How do i modify this PHP to make my uploads have random names?

How can i change this PHP code for uploading photos to make it so that each upload has a random name. For instance, if i upload an image called dog3.jpg, i want it to upload as mysite.com/kj2hjs83h.jpg or mysite.com/878437924.jpg, instead of simply as /dog3.jpg.
