have a little bit of a problem here. I had lost the key to my MR2. id been getting inside it by sticking a clotheshanger in and pressing the unlock button on the door. well the battery was going dead, so i took the battery out, locked the doors, and put it on a charger in my apartment. Now i cant get inside because theres no battery to unlock the doors with the button, no way to put the battery in because i need to be inside to pop the hood release.

My question is, how do i manually release the front hood so i can access the battery leads?

The only way I can think of without using a slim jim, but you could try getting to the hood release mechanism from the bot ton/underneath the front of car with a wire hanger.

u can always try it manually ,by lifting that red thing by the door handle from inside or the pop the lock open, all cars have that even if it's power door lock it's a safety thing if someone got in a car accident and teh car is locked
