my wife has no interest in the car unless i change it to an automatic, so i need to know if it is possible and what i will need to do this including what kinda transmission i can pull out of a doner car, like years and other stuff, i know mustang parts will interchange but i am not sure what ones, thank you all very much

i am a mechanic and can do this at a very low cost, the car is a totally restored vehicle that means alot to my wife, but she wants it changed, it has 17,946 orig miles and is a great gas saver, if it were up to me i would sell it and buy a new one, but she wants to keep it
