how do i make it to when i get text messages that my phone vibrates instead of tone?

Hi needforspeed16 and welcome to the AC forums.

Random fact - you own the rarest carrier branded Android phone. Most people won't have even heard of it.

Anyway, the beauty of Android is that it provides only very basic functionality, but unlike the iPhone it allows other people to write apps that can augment core functionality.

The app you want is called Missed Call, and is by Anno. Search for Missed Call on the Market and find the one with the orange icon that is by Anno.

Go into the Messaging app, menu, settings, and turn off notifications. This means the Messaging app won't make any sound or vibrate at all when you get a message. This is because you want Missed Call to handle the notifications as it's far more powerful.

Go into Missed Call, add the SMS service. Go into the SMS service, General Settings (or if you want specific settings for a specific contact texting you, add a contact here), then set what kind of notifications you want. You can configure the LED colour, flash rate, vibration, vibrate pattern, ringtone, and repeating notifications (so if you miss the first one it will do it again X minutes later).
