how do i make green salsa?

i went to a mexican restaurant the other day n wanting to try something new i ordered my food with green salsa.. it was different n delicious.. n now i was wondering if there is an easy recipe to make it.. i tried looking at the super market if there was some made in a jar already n there wasnt..
 
you sure it was salsa and not green chili? if it was on tacos it may have been salsa if it was on burritos or the like it was more than likely green chili.
green salsa is made with green (unripened) tomatoes or Tomatillos, cilantro, onion and hot peppers, either cooked or raw. If it was authentic Mexican then it was the Tomatillos also called a husk tomatoe.

green chili is made with diced pork, green chilies, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, hot peppers and broth then it is cooked and thickened.
