How do I make an SWF appear full screen in a Web Browser without distortion?

Im designing a website in Flash CS3 and i cant seem to figure out how to make the site go full screen without distorting the SWF.

If you click the "Full Screen" button in the lower right corner you will see an example

Is it possible to make only the background of the SWF go full screen in a browser while keeping the rest of the stage centered and unscaled?
