Our socials teacher wants us to write a story and them make the story look like it is 200 years old!!!! I know that there is a way to do it with green tea bags but I need to know specific instructions so that I don't ruin anything.

Also if there are any tips on burning, that would be wonderful!!!!!!

Thank you to anyone with any advice.

paint the paper with cold tea and then spinkle a few grains of instant coffee on it .when its dry it looks realy old

before you right the piece take your piece of paper and soak it in tea bags, doesnt have to be green tea bags. Let it dry over night and then using a lighter carefully (i dont know how old you are so get an adult if youre a child - sorry if youre not!!) scorch the edges of the paper so they look distressed, be careful to blow out the flame as it lights the page so it doesnt burn too much. I'd make several pages dipped in tea so in case you have any accidens you have an instant backup!

Oh and do the lighting over a bowl of water in case it goes a bit wrong! I did this several times at school for various projects! Really great look.
