How do I lower a speeding ticket without appearing in court?

confused

I have college on my assigned court date and i would like to lower my $145 speeding ticket. should i send in the ticket with the $145 check and a letter explaining my circumstances pleading no contest, or just plead guilty? I was distracted by a shoulder injury that made me forget how fast i was going. 69 in a 55.

ask to get the hearing continued. i don't think that your excuse is going to make any difference, and may make things worse, but you can try. you could ask to get it down to 64 in a 55, if that makes any dif to your insurance

good luck with it! is your shoulder better?

go to court prior to the date the ticket is due and reschedule it. otherwise fines and fee's will add up or you can just pay it , i would reschedule it and get it reduced.

good luck
