How do I learn to like american football?

I tend to agree with "Groveboy101".

You probably shouldn't learn to like football because of a guy.

I learned about watching football from my dad. Now, I'm very interested in watching various games. I have my favorite teams, as well as favorite players.

If you want to learn to like American Football, just try watching it. But do it for yourself, not for someone else. If you don't like it, find something else. And if you do find that you like it, don't worry about not knowing everything about the game. (I've been watching American Football for many years, and I still don't understand some of the calls.)
 
While I love football and it's my passion, you shouldn't change who you are for a guy. If someone only likes you for who you pretend to be, you can't keep up the act forever and you're gonna dislike each other in the long run because you aren't what he first saw and he doesn't like the real you.
